you know that cliché inspirational poster quote, “shoot for the moon. even if you miss, you’ll land among the stars”? i just realized that it would make more sense metaphorically to shoot for the stars instead of settling for the moon, because the moon is technically much closer to earth than any star in our galaxy. if you shot for the moon and missed, you would land in the inky blackness of space, nowhere close to a star
